Court victory applies statewide

On March 17, 2021 Judge Freeland revised her orders and the update impacts students and schools across the state.

The judge approved a revised temporary restraining order against the State. The State is prohibited from:

1) Applying and enforcing the January 2021 Framework (4 ft. spacing, stable groups, etc.) statewide

2) Applying and enforcing anything similar that includes the provisions of the January 2021 Framework statewide

3) Applying and enforcing the Safety Review Request Decisions statewide

School Districts named in the complaint, which include Poway USD, are still ordered to reopen their schools for in-person instruction to the greatest extent possible at the earliest practicable time. Districts named in the case and the State defendants have been ordered to appear in court again on April 1st.

This great news out of North San Diego County is now accelerating the advocacy efforts throughout California.
